Render plinth + outbuilding
Salt-loaded plinth treated with detergent dwell and a hot rinse.
Devon
Roborough weather does a number on exterior surfaces, and pressure washing is usually the first thing to suffer. Granite, cob and lime-rendered cottages all need handling differently from a modern render. Roborough sits in Devon at PL6, close enough to yelverton that we regularly share visits.

Strung along the A386 between Plymouth and Dartmoor, which shapes how pressure washing on painted render and stone and slate and concrete tile actually plays out around PL6. Most weeks we're up and down the A386 between Roborough and the next booking.
Most enquiries we take are from owners who've been thinking about it for a while and finally caught the right week for the weather. There's no doorstep pressure at any point in the process, and no fake deadline to sign a quote. Two of us live within twenty minutes of the yard, which is why booking flexibility is easier than customers expect. Detergents are biodegradable and lawns are pre-wetted before biocide goes near anything green. Windows are usually the entry-point job for new customers, and everything else follows on from that first visit. Softwash and pressure washing are two different jobs with two different rigs — we don't try to force one to do the other. Every visit finishes with a five-minute tidy — sand brushed in, debris bagged, tap turned off. For the odd fourth-storey house we bring a taller pole in from a neighbour's yard, still no scaffold needed. Roof re-bed work gets its own dedicated day — nobody wants a wet roof left open overnight. Extras are always agreed on the day in writing before any additional work starts. Fresh brush heads go on the pole for every glazing job over five years old. First-visit customers get a written surface report at no cost, whether they book more work or not. Stone plinths get a rinse-only pass at the end of every wall softwash, no product left on stone. For solar-panel arrays the panel owner's approach method takes precedence over ours, always. Enquiry-to-quote turnaround is measured weekly and posted on the wall in the yard.
Most Roborough properties we treat have painted render and stone walls and a slate and concrete tile roof. That changes a few of the choices we'd make.
Range of nozzles from 0° to 65° - the right tip for rural village hard surfaces - noted on older cottages stock - a job where getting the order right matters more than the products.
Biodegradable degreaser for oil and traffic film along A386 - noted at exposed exposure - worth combining with the gutters if they're due at the same time.
Composite, hardwood and softwood decking all done with grain-aligned passes - common on older cottages and ribbon-development semis - noted in the West Devon Borough Council patch - and it's why we default to the softer end of the pressure range.
Hot wash with detergent dwell for the exposed-loaded hard surfaces in Roborough - noted 5 miles from PL3 - still small enough to fix in one visit, big enough to be worth doing.
