The single most revealing question is what pressure they intend to use on render or on tiles. Anyone proposing high pressure on thin-coat render or on a tiled roof is proposing something the material manufacturers advise against.
Ask what is excluded
Written scope should say what is not included as well as what is. Repairs, re-sanding, sealing, interior glass and any work on solar arrays are the usual exclusions, and it is better to see them in writing than to discover them on the day.
