Seeing the property without being there
Photographs of each elevation, plus the gutter line and any downpipe outlets, give you the same information you would get walking round the house. Repeated at the same points each visit, they show change rather than just condition.
What tends to go wrong when nobody is watching
Gutters fill quietly, and the first sign is usually a stained band down the wall below the joint. Moss and lichen on a roof slope build slowly, then shed into the gutter after a windy spell. Both are cheaper to handle early.
Keeping the visit list short and predictable
For most second homes, an annual gutter clear plus a wall and glass visit is enough, with roof work only when the slope condition calls for it. That keeps the arrangement simple to approve remotely.

- How do you get access?
- Most second homes only need gate access. Where there is a key safe, we can use it if you would rather not leave anything unlocked.
- Can you flag problems you spot?
- Yes, with photos. We will say what we can see rather than diagnose anything we cannot inspect properly.
- Do you work outside the Plymouth boundary?
- We cover a 20-mile radius of our PL3 base, which takes in much of the South Hams and South East Cornwall.
