Prioritise the surfaces underfoot
A patio that is clean and dry changes how the outside space is used. Paths and steps come next, particularly if guests will be moving between spaces after dark. Walls and glass are a bonus rather than the priority.
Timing so everything is dry
Washed hard surfaces need time to dry before furniture, marquees or matting go down, and block paving needs to be dry enough to take sand back into the joints. Booking a week or so ahead avoids working around a wet patio on setup day.
The frontage as the arrival point
Guests form their impression at the front door. A clean path, tidy step and clear glass do that work without a full exterior clean of the whole property.

- How far in advance should we book?
- A week or more gives room for weather and drying, and avoids clashing with setup.
- Can you work around a marquee already up?
- Partly, but it is much better to clean before it goes up.
- Will the patio stay clean until the day?
- In dry weather, yes. A short spell of rain will not undo a proper wash.
