Keep the day simple for whoever is home
Exterior work means closed windows, cars moved and gates unlocked. Nothing else needs to happen indoors, and there is no need for anyone to be up and about early or to let anyone into the house.
Agreeing the scope before the visit
Written scope avoids the situation where an extra job gets discussed on the doorstep. If you are paying, it helps for the quote and the invoice to come to you while the work is discussed politely with whoever is at home.
Photographs instead of a report
Before and after photographs of each elevation are the easiest way for someone not present to see what was done, and they are useful if the property is being maintained on a long cycle.
