Protecting plants, ponds and pets during cleaning

Owner worried about garden and animals during treatment.

Most concerns about exterior cleaning products come down to two questions: where does it land, and how long until it is safe. Both are answerable before we start.

Borders and planting

Planting close to the wall is sheeted or pre-wetted so run-off dilutes and drains rather than concentrating at the roots. Sensitive specimens get moved where they can be.

This guide sits under our Wall Cleaning & Softwash work, covering 20-mile radius of Plymouth.

Ponds and watercourses

Ponds are covered and run-off is directed away entirely. Where a property drains to a watercourse we plan the discharge route before starting - it is not optional.

Pets and children

We tell you which areas to keep clear and for how long. In practice that usually means keeping off the treated surface until it has been rinsed and dried.

Questions we get on this

Will the lawn be damaged?
Not with pre-wetting and dilution. We plan around it rather than hope.
How long before pets can go out?
We tell you on the day - usually once rinsed and dry.
Can you avoid a specific plant?
Yes, point it out at quote stage and it gets protected or excluded.
