How we work

How we work, step by step

Nobody enjoys booking a trade and then not knowing what is about to happen to their house. These pages set out the practical side: what we need from you up front, what a working day looks like, and the parts people are usually most concerned about, which are plants, pets, water and height.

The practical detail

Working around a lived-in house

  • Windows and doors stay closed while walls are treated, and cars come off the drive before paving work starts.
  • Planting near a treated elevation is wetted first and rinsed afterwards, which is the part most often skipped by whoever cleaned it before.
  • Weather governs the diary between October and March, so dates move occasionally rather than work being rushed in the wet.
